The method

The Unblocked Heart.

Every approach to love you've been sold works by addition: build confidence, learn strategies, become more attractive, search harder. The Unblocked Heart works by removal. It starts from a different premise entirely: the love you're looking for is already in you, and something is in its way.

Love is a wellspring already in you. Happiness is the flowers that bloom around it.

The premise

Think of the heart as a spring. Water wants to rise; that's its nature. When a spring stops flowing, you don't fix it by pouring water on top. You find what's damming it, and you move the rocks. People are the same. Nobody is short on love. We're carrying blocks: old resentments, shame, fear, losses never fully grieved, judgments, impossible standards, lives run by "should." Every block was picked up honestly, usually in pain, often in childhood. And every one of them can be moved.

Life is always trying to help you remove blocks. Mostly we resist it. But you can decide to begin moving the rocks yourself.

This isn't a positivity technique. It's structural work, done in a specific order, and the order matters: inner before outer. Clear the blocks first. Everything else, including whether and how you date again, gets decided from a heart that's actually flowing.

The blocks

The list comes from a century-old teaching about what closes a human heart, which I met on my own path and modernized by living every item on it. Most people carry two or three, not all eight. Naming yours precisely is the first real work we do.

ResentmentGrudges kept alive; bitterness carried out of old relationships into new ones.
Shame"If they really saw me, they'd leave." The feeling of being unworthy of love.
FearOf rejection, of abandonment, of being truly seen. Anxiety that reads as distance.
Unhealed lossThe person, marriage, or imagined future never fully mourned. No room for anything new.
JudgmentThe inner critic, turned on yourself and on everyone who gets close.
OtheringWriting off whole groups of people as unworthy of your love. Us and them, in any form.
SuperiorityThe impossible checklist. "No one is quite good enough" as armor.
Living by "shoulds"Choosing, or hiding, what you love for how it looks. Performing a life instead of living one.

The work, in three movements

01 · Name

We map which blocks are actually damming your heart. Not a personality test; an honest inventory of your patterns, told by the person who lived them, with a guide who has lived his own. Most people feel the click of recognition within the first conversation.

02 · Clear

Block by block, we do the removal work: what to stop doing, what to stop accepting, what to finally grieve, what to forgive, what to surrender. Practical and specific, at the pace your life can hold. This is where the ten weeks go.

03 · Live open

An unblocked heart doesn't wait for someone to arrive. Peace first. Happiness blooming. Relationships, if you choose them, entered from fullness instead of hunger. The method's endpoint isn't a partner; it's a life where love flows either way.

Where it comes from

The formula behind the method maps a happy life to two pillars: good memories, made deliberately, and meaningful relationships, powered by one force. Unconditional love, unblocked. I spent years building and testing it on the only subject I had full access to: my own failed-and-rebuilt life. The full story is in who I am, and the whole journey will be in the book, Finding Love: A Life Well Failed.
